Changing your mind, which is a different right from a warranty claim. If the thing is broken, you want the warranty policy instead.
Your 14-day right
What this means
Fourteen days to send an unfitted part back for any reason, no explanation needed. The clock starts when it arrives.
You have fourteen days from delivery to withdraw from the purchase of a part, without giving a reason. This is your statutory right under EU consumer law and nothing on this page reduces it.
Tell us within fourteen days, send the part back within fourteen days of telling us, and we refund within fourteen days of getting it - including the standard delivery you paid.
Once it has been fitted
What this means
A fitted electrical part cannot come back. That is the law, not our preference - and it is why we ask so hard about which device you have.
| Situation | Can you return it | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Unfitted, in its packaging | Yes, 14 days | Statutory withdrawal right |
| Unfitted, packaging opened | Yes, 14 days | Opening to inspect is allowed |
| Fitted to a device | No | Electrical goods, once installed |
| Faulty on arrival | Yes, any time | Not a return - a defect |
| Wrong part ordered, unfitted | Yes, 14 days | You pay the return postage |
| A completed repair | No | A service performed with your consent |
Worth knowing
This is the whole reason the storefront asks which device you have before it will let you buy. The one return we cannot accept is the one where you fitted the wrong part.
Cancelling a booked repair
What this means
Free until two hours before. After that the callout stands because the engineer has already committed the time.
Cancel free up to two hours before the slot. Inside two hours, or once the engineer has set off, a €24.00 callout is charged and everything else is refunded.
A repair that has been carried out cannot be cancelled - you asked for a service and it was performed. If it was performed badly, that is a warranty claim.
