What happens when a repair or a part fails. This is not the same as changing your mind - that is the returns policy, and it lives on its own page.
What is covered, for how long
What this means
12 months on any repair an engineer did. Parts you fit yourself are covered by the part warranty only, which is shorter and depends on grade.
| What | Cover | How long |
|---|---|---|
| A repair fitted by a Deimr engineer | Part and workmanship | 12 months |
| New part, self-fitted | The part only | 12 months |
| OEM pull part, self-fitted | The part only | 6 months |
| Refurbished part, self-fitted | The part only | 6 months |
| Aftermarket part, self-fitted | The part only | 3 months |
| Third-party seller part | The seller's warranty | As on the listing |
What is not covered
What this means
New damage, water, someone else opening it afterwards, and your own fitting. We will tell you which of these it is, with the evidence.
A new crack, a drop, or liquid ingress after the repair is not a warranty matter.
If somebody else has opened the device since our engineer closed it, the workmanship warranty ends. We can see this, and we will show you why we think so rather than just asserting it.
On a self-fitted part, damage caused during fitting is not covered. A cell that will not hold charge is; a flex you tore getting the bracket off is not.
Making a claim
What this means
Say what it is doing, send a photo, and we decide within three working days. If the record is ambiguous we decide for you.
Raise it from the repair in Your repairs, or from the order if you fitted it yourself. Tell us what the device is doing and send a photo or a short video.
A claim on a fitted repair goes to an engineer who did not do the original work. They see both accounts and the job notes, including the photographs taken before the fit.
We answer within three working days. Where the evidence genuinely does not settle it, we decide in your favour - an ambiguous record is our failure to document, not yours.
What you get
What this means
Refit, replace or refund, in that order, and it is our choice - but a second failure of the same repair gets a refund without argument.
The usual outcome is a refit at no cost, by a different engineer if you would prefer.
If the same repair fails twice, you get your money back rather than a third attempt. You do not have to argue for it.
Where the fault was the part rather than the fitting, the cost goes back to the supplier. That is between us and them and it never affects what you get.
Worth knowing
Changed your mind rather than something failing? That is the returns policy - 14 days on an unfitted part, and nothing once it has been fitted.
